Growing up in a big city, I have often felt the restraints within the parameters I wanted to explore. These were due in part to such cultural and social factors such as age, class status and gender. Yet, as I have matured both numerically and fundamentally, my approach to life has led me to cease the meaning of “No Trespass” signs. Chicago is my city to explore. And I shall do as such.
With one quarter left upon graduating from the Savannah College of Art and Design, I am currently exploring all that Savannah has to offer while I still can. After three years of living here, this city girl is still looked at with confusion when ordering a ‘pop.’ However, that being said, the south has taught me to walk a little slower, look up a bit more, and to not be afraid of acting like a tourist.
