When I think of Streeterville, there are two things that immediately come to mind: Navy Pier and Northwestern Hospital; the latter being the place I unfortunately frequent more so. That being said, due to the abundance of nearby tourist attractions and numerous medical offices, various restaurants and cafes have continued to open in the neighborhood.
These cafes include Do-Rite Donuts, Peet's Coffee, Waffles Cafe, and a relatively new location of Stan’s Donuts. As previously predicted in another post, I definitely had to make a visit to Stan’s. This specific location is great for people watching due to a wall made consisting of glass windows. I ordered a black coffee and shared a vanilla sprinkle donut with my mom.
The Streeterville location is larger than both that in Lincoln Park and Wicker Park. It has a great seating area with wooden table tops and white couches. The use of white makes the space appear even larger and additionally creates a bright, uplifting atmosphere.
Thus, despite a visit to the doctor, one can always grab a pink and white bag with a flavorful sweet treat.
