Shaggy sweater that is.
After graduating from the Savannah College of Art and Design, I returned home to the windy city of Chicago; and my entire closet that I have left behind for three years. Although the weather is warming up here, I am still able to take advantage of the slight breeze and rock some of my sweaters and lightweight jackets.
Thrift store finds are my jam and I often utilize them in a multitude of ways. Several summers ago, I found a Grecian style black maxi dress from Unique Thrift that came with a black tie belt. Recently, black leather necklaces and bolo ties have been all the rage, so I decided to revamp my belt as an oversized necklace by wrapping it around my neck and tying it once in a knot. The extravagant size makes it stand out a bit and also gives some fun movement when I wander around my neighborhood.
Additionally, my shaggy cream sweater has become one of my favorites pieces to translate throughout the seasons. For spring into summer, I have planned to style it with high waisted denim shorts and mini skirts or adding it to a simple flowy dress with some brown Frye boots.
Get ready for a summer full of fashion, art, music, and fun!
